Green and digital transition : Commission invites interested parties to comment on draft amendments of the GBER

The Commission is inviting Member States and interested parties to comment on proposed amendments to the General Block Exemption Regulation. The amendments proposal is to reflect the changes of State aid Guidelines and facilitate public support for the green and digital transition.

The revision seeks to broaden the possibilities for Member States to implement aid measures supporting the EU’s green and digital transition easier and faster without prior notification and approval by the Commission.

The proposal concerns aid for environmental and energy, risk finance aid , aid for research, development and innovation, and regional aid.

All interested parties can respond to the consultation until 8 December 2021.
